If someone lived in Ballyhack, Wexford County, around 1850-1870, does anyone know what Catholic Church might they have attended? Or, the Catholic Diocese for Ballyhack? I am looking for information on Catherine WADDY, born between 1860 to 1872. Her birth is not registered in the Civil Registration. Her father was Luke WADDY - born about 1824 and died in 1901 in the Workhouse, New Ross. He was harness maker. He is listed on the Griffith's Valuation (printing date 1853) working property in Ralph, Fethard, Wexford. Luke's wife was Mary ROCHE - (not sure she was Catherine's mother). Mary died April 16, 1871, Ballyhack, Wexford. Luke and Mary Roche Waddy had a son, William, born about 1843. He married Ellen MOLLOY in 1867. Thanks for any information you may be able to share. When living in Ralph, his church would have been in Templetown.
