I thought you might find this interesting. This is how I do a lot of genealogy research, posting to the various rootsweb list servs for the county/country in question. It is amazing how much information I have found this way. Plus I have connected with five cousins, four second cousins, this way! It is how I found my Krebs village in France! Edward and Mary? Galvin, are my gg grandparents on my maternal grandmother's side. Elizabeth is my great grandmother. They were very poor Irish emigrants. Elizabeth's occupation was an Irish classic, a washer woman! Her sister was a servant until she died of TB. A very common cause of death back in the 1800's! Elizabeth died at age 42 when my grandmother was 11, and her father gave her to another Irish family to raise. She worked in their shoe factor at age 11 on! She was a very small woman and smoked Camels! A very feisty person!
