Hi from a hot Australia I reasearching an Eliza Wilson born Wexford 1808, transported from Cork on the Andromeda 1833. Little is known of her until she appears in the shipping records as a single, nursemaid with a small child. Any ideas would be appreciated. Marian Hassett

Marian, Have you tried sites like NSW State Archives, Claim-a-Convict and Irish Transportation database? You don't give a name for the child, or who Eliza married or when she died. Do parent names appear on marriage or death certificates? Before looking for her birth around 1808, I wonder can anybody recommend a good site for Wexford BDM data pre 1864.
