Looking for any Archbold connection in Wexford. Firstly I have a William Archbold and Eliza Dempsey married in 1844 in Kilmuckridge Wexford. They had 2 children that I know of, James and Catherine. I am sure that the children were born in wexford, as James' birth place in the census 1901 & 1911 is wexford. James married Eliza Morgan in Wicklow. In 1893 James Archbold and Eliza Morgan had a Girl Catherine/Kate in Camolin. ??? any connection
Hi All I know of this Patrick (if mine) is that in war news to Wexford states that Patricks brother Richard also died in August 1917 husband of Ellen Donohue (previously Berry) of 10 Summer Hill Sandy Cove Kingstown Co Dublin. So either this Ellen was a Donohue before marriage or remarried a Donohue. In the 1901 census Richard Berry is listed as age 15 and living in 5 Back Street with Mother Mary and Stepfather John Kearney. So obviously John Berry died before 1901. Not sure if this matches up with anything you have. Two things: I have a record of a William Earl who married a Jane or June Webster in 1859 in Wexford. I know nothing else about them. The other is that the house at MONEYCROSS LOWER, very close to Gorey in Co Wexford, was sold by Edward WARREN to GEORGE STEACY (note the e) in 1880, and is currently still owned by Steacys - 4th generations later. There seem to have been many Earls in Wexford in the 1800s, but I'm not sure what era you're searching. If you needed to write to them, their address would be: Moneycross Lower, Gorey, Wexford, Ireland. There area few Staecys in the current Wexford telephone directory: _Steacy, Emily_ (http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/Steacy,_Emily/Wexford/IE_1141241486A6060606060666264706E706E_1) Banogue Gorey Co. A search for the spelling STACY turned up nothing, so I think you may have the wrong spelling. Hope all this helps in some way. Hilda I am searching for Alice EARL who told my mother she was from County Wexford. She married George STACY.
Searching for the first family of Thomas Webster (1790-1873) and Elizabeth Webster (1790-1855), from Moneycross Upper, near Gorey, Wexford. Thomas went on to marry a second time in 1857 - Anne Barker (1822-1868). I'm pretty sure she is the daughter of Joseph Barker & Mary Doxey, but I'd love any confirmation of this as I can't find any records. I would also dearly love to hear from anyone descended from Thomas Webster's first marriage, and anyone who could throw any light on who Elizabeth Webster was. Also missing details of what happened to WILLIAM JOSEPH WEBSTER born in Moneycross in 1863, and sent to Canada as a home child in 1873. He left the farm he was living on in Quebec about 1890, to travel to Chicago to work on the railway apparently, and we don't know what happened him after that. Did he marry? Have children? Anyone know anything? Thanks a million, Hilda in Colorado,
Patrick Berry married Ellen Browne abt 1906. I know they lived in Back Street in 1915. Ellen remarried in abt 1919 so I assume Patrick died - possibly the Patrick Berry who died in 1917 WWI in Palestine. Yet to confirm this. He left a wife and 4 children which matches up with what little family history I have. Trying to confirm that this is him and also his parents. Debi

Hello, Seeking info on Nolans/Nowlans fron Co.Wexford Townland of Ballyrankin, parish of Killrush. Susanna from Newfoundland
John, There should be some data at NSW State Archives either at The Rocks or at Werrington. I'm surprised he doesn't appear on the Irish Transportation Database, but I did find a couple of references by Googling "Lady McNaughten 1835" including the following. Lady McNaughten 1835 p. 353 Receipts for convicts received on board listing articles supplied them; List of money handed into the custody of the surgeon showing convict's name, county, cash and articles of private property; Chief Justice's Warrants for Military convicts; and List of Military convicts removed from the Hulk Essex to the Lady McNaughten 21 June 1835 Looking at the comments, I'm wondering if he was one of the military prisoners Peter

I'm interested in anyone researching these names in County Wexford.... Michael Lawler m'd Mary (Fitz)Patrick...I'm guessing in the 1840s... Mary Fitzpatrick's sister m'd John Kane/Keane of Ballinacur, Courtown Harbour. I have all 11 children with birthdates. John died between the 1901 and 1911 censuses. Ellen survived thru 1911. Would enjoy hearing from anyone researching these surnames. Patti Meyers

I am researching the Michael BRADY Family from Wexford county. Information that I have is that Michael Brady was born about 1823 in Wexford County, Ireland. He immigrated to Sandusky County, Ohio in 1850 or 1851. He arrived in the United States at Newport, Rhode Island on April 23, 1851. He later married Ellen CONNERS in the United States on January 29, 1858. I am looking for help to find out where Michael BRADY lived in Wexford County. Would like to be able to travel to Ireland and see area where BRADY family would have lived. I would welcome any suggestions for how to find out the location of this BRADY family in Wexford county. Thank you, Steve Frank SFrank@woh.rr.com
Hi Steve, I too, have family who originated in County Wexford and immigrated to Sandusky, Ohio in the 1850s or so. My connection was Ellen Cooper nee Heath, who traveled with her daughters (though I'm not sure if she really was due to her age, or was a daughter in law) Lizzie Cooper and a Jane Cooper. I believe Ellen was married to a physician named Cooper in Enniscorthy and widowed before she immigrated. Her husband does not show on the ship manifest. We have a Connor connection too, but that was more in Co. Kildare. I've made the journey you speak of twice now, to visit my family's stomping grounds. I know I'll make many more in my lifetime. Take as much time as you possibly can. Let me know if these names ring a bell.
