Mary Anne Costello married George Canning at Marleybone Church, London, on May 21, 1768. They had a son George Canning (1770-1827) who entered government service rising to Prime Minister four months preceding his death. I am looking for any mention of a wife and issue. So far I have not found it on the Internet. The reason I am looking on the WESTMEATH site is that Mary Anne Costello was the great grand daughter of the Rev Stephan Handcock of Athelone. His daughter, Hanna, met and married Melchoir G. Dickens in Westmeath. Their daughter, name unknown married Jordan Costello. Mary Anne was their daughter and the grand daughter of Melchoir and Hanna.
