Carolyn: Thanks for sending this information to the list. Our list is long on people asking for information and short on people providing information. In researching Co. Westmeath I am struck by how surnames seem to cluster in one area. You can almost look at a list of names and identify which location they are from. Some surnames are spread all over Ireland, but not most of them. By mistake I recently ordered the wrong film of a RC Parish Register from a nearby parish and the surnames were completely different from those in the area I usually view.
