Hi Sharon, Have you tried to obtain a copy of James Walace's death Certificate.You state he was 39 when he arrived in 1858,if so, then he possibly passed away between 1880 and 1895. You could apply for James' wife, Mary's death certificate instead, if your more certain of the date she died and in what State. Either death certificate should give all children of the marriage living and deceased. Can you access S.A. births, deaths and marriages on line as you can in N.S.W.? If so then this may be worth an initial search.
