Thomas Owens (b. circa 1845) moved to Massachusetts circa 1865 and lived in Taunton. His brother, Michael Owens is my husband's grandfather. Michael also moved to Taunton, where he married Catherine Ryan in 1868. If anyone is following any of these family lines, I would love to hear from you. I have a lot of information and am also missing huge pieces. Ann Owens, Seattle WA ============================== Search over 1 Billion names at Ancestry.com! http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp

    3. Hi Ann, I also have Owens in my family. My g grandfather was Thomas Owens and he was married twice. Once to Kate (C or K?)Katherine Carney in 1860 and then she died in 1870. They had two children by this first marriage my grandmother Isabella Owens and a sister Annie Owens. Thomas Owens married again on Nov. 10th 1872, at St. Joseph's Church in Willimantic, Connecticut to Mary Moriarty. Thomas was 33 and Mary was 26. Mary's mother was Abbie Sullivan and her father John Moriarty. Mary and Thomas had ten more children : Thomas Jr. John, James, patrick, Edward, Mary Magdaline ( called Mammie), William, Francis, and Catherine Cecilia (know mostely as Kate). I don't know the name of the tenth child. I know you mentioned that Thomas was in MA. is it possible he moved or did he stay in MA.? Just in case I went ahead in wrote a little for you to go on just in case.
