Apologies list - Pat, I tried sending you this directly but it rejected my email address. Patrick and Bridget are my great grandparents. Is your family connected or were you just recording any Murtaghs that you may have found? I have not personally tried Delvin parish. The records I have were from my Aunt who visited there many years ago. I just recently tried contacting her to specifically ask her how long and how detailed her search was. I have not heard back from her yet but if I get any information I will let you know. I have not yet tried contacting the parish directly but plan on writing a letter with a donation. I was hoping to find their records are somewhat complete as this was my famillies parish for quite a long time (Patrick's and Bridget's fathers are in Griffiths as living in Ballynaskeagh in 1854). I'm very disappointed to hear you tried the heritage center with no success. That tells me a letter will probably get less results. I do have the baptismal records of some of the children and the marriage record of Patrick and Bridget. Looking forward to hearing from you.
