Alberto: I checked the LDS library catalaogue and it has one called the report of "Association for Preservationof Memorial of the Dead in Ireland'" Is this the correct one. It is showing 9 vol beginng about1880. I will order trhe film and copy if this is the right one. there is one with similar title but it says has churches only, no tombstones. You might check www.familysearch.com then go to Library Catalouge and then Ireland and then cemeteries. let me know which one is correct to order. Charlotte
Dear Charlote and Elizabeth I read about the tombstones inscriptions many years ago when I went to the Embassy and they gave me a pamphlet about research resources. I would like to write you in spanish to give a detail of my research. In english I must to think first and I only use the worlds I know (without diccionary). It is terrible and the same is when I read, but when something ring bells on my mind and I found a world I don't know I check the diccionary. Concerning the tombstones inscriptions the information I have is the following: Westmeath: Almoritia II 556 Ardnacraney IV 489 Arnurcher VI 608,VII 121,191 Athlone St Mary's II 227, 374,557,III170,346,521,IV 135,V 272 Athine St. Mary VI 162 Abbey IV 468,494,V 481, VI 160 Ballinacor Bridge I 245, II 174, III 523 Bunown IV 489 Castle Pollanrd IV 494, V 274 Castletown Geoghegan I 513, II 371, IV 390 VI 163 Causestown II 232 Clonlost I 245 Collinstown V 273 Drumcree V 112 Drumreaney IV 489 Fore I 508, II 373, IV 133,487,VI 410 Killbeggan VII 191 Kilkenny West IV 490 Killaugh I 244 Killucan IV 465 Killulagh VII 192 Kilveilagh I 245 Lynn V 486 Mayne V 119 Mount Dalton Obelisk IV 491 Mount Temple III 523 Multifarham I 245, 512,IV 488,VII 276 Newtown Fortullagh III 524 Rahugh III 526 Rathconrath IV 490 St. Mulchan's II 374 Templecros VII 5, VI 609 Ouch Hard work write all these I hope it is OK. I wrote many years ago in the mormon family center here in Buenos Aires, ir is the index for Co. Westmeath This work was made in 1890 and the first years of the next century and I never saw this. When I visited Ireland I had no time to do this research because the Library was closing at 7 pm. I think it only contain Monumental inscrptions of Irish Sept Chieftan (I don't know write well this world) and others notable ones. But it is only what I believe. It was very nice to copy this, as you see there are only a few pages of the entries to Co. Westmeath. There are 5 or 6 volumens for the entire Ireland Nothern part I don't Know).
