Does the town still exist? If so how large? >> Graeme, Drumcree does indeed still exist. The town is right on the R 395 road connecting Delvin with Castlepollard. It's about 3 miles from Delvin. It doesn't seem to be too populated - perhaps 20 or 25 buildings in the area, but they are concentrated on a short section of the road between three intersections with crossing and abutting roads. There is also a church and a postoffice there but, not knowing the actually borders of the townlands, it's hard to ascribe them all to Drumcree. The townlands of Gormanstown and Loughstown, as well as the townland of Drumcree (different from the "town" of Drumcree) also seem to have a piece of the action on this stretch of road................. and some of the buildings, etc., could actually be located in those townlands. If you want to peek for yourself, and try to decide which is where, take a look at Discovery map 42, around 554 655. Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
