Michael MURRAY Margaret LANGAN's parents names are unknown, but Nicholas may have been her father. She had siblings John, Johanna (m. Patrick? MOORE), and Marcella (m. Patrick BRAY) I spent some time last year looking through the Mullingar and Killucan parish records at LDS and have copied down many entries that have the surnames mentioned above. My notes are far from complete (much of the film were unreadable) but if anyone is researching these surnames I might just have an entry that would interest you.
Mike, Do you have death record for Jane? Does it list parents? Dan
I will be away the month of February but after that I will be willing to post the one line data to a list at the first of the month. Let me know. Colette
Greetings fellow Westmeath researchers: Looking for info and or cousins of the family of Jane MORAN who was born about 1810 at Ratrass or Riverdale in the parish of Killucan. In 1821 she married Thomas WHITE and together they lived at Ratrass. Thomas died about 1847 and Jane lived until the 1880's. Either the MORAN s or the WHITEs or perhaps both were related to BRAY folks of Killucan parish.
I have only just joined this list, and am searching for information on John Moran b1800 Westmeath m Mary McCormack 27/11/1822 died 1864, issue Peter Moran B1828 Rathhonen. This is all the info I have. Peter came to Australia in the 1850's, and settled in Ararat, Victoria. Would like to hear from anyone who can help me . Thanks Jan Morrison
Jan....can't help you with the names you're working on as they do not appear in my research - however - I was wondering if Ararat was anywhere near Ballarat, Victoria? I'm researching a Condon line in Ballarat! My search is for the ancestors of the above who was born approximately 1855 and died on the 22nd June 1917. He is buried in Meedin cemetary Co. Westmeath. I understand he came from Bloomhill Athlone, but I do not know whether it might have been his parents who came from there. I have not been able to track down his birth cert from which I could learn who his parents and maybe his siblings were. Can you help? Bernadette A. Mahon.

I regularly research LDS films of parish registers and any other records I can find on Westmeath and I know others on the list do also. As long as I'm looking for my ancestor on these registers I could keep an eye out for yours also if I had a SIMPLE list to go by. If some kind soul on the list would accept emails with one line of data on your ancestor and post it to the list on the first of each month, I and others would have an up-to-date list of what info is being sought when we go to the library. For instance: CLAFFEY, Peter m. Mary McDonold (McDonnell) @ 1835. Or: CLAFFEY, Peter b. @1812 in Moate, Co. Westmeath. Now all we need is some kind soul willing to post one line of data for list members once a month.

Jackie No Mulrenin so far. Names that married into Geraghty family that I am aware of are Cuffe,Hutchinson, Garry, Loughlin and Mullen. I have not researched the siblings of Joseph Geraghty (Born 1850) yet. Was your Mulrenin from Mullingar? Maire
It has been a long while since I have been on the Irish Mail list as I have been working on my side of the family. It should have been easier as we have been in the states longer. Did I learn differently! It must be Irish pride that keeps the family lines intact. I was wondering if I might find any new leads on the Eivers/Ivers/Evers family. They all seem to be located in the Co. Westmeath/Co. Longford area. There is a group of us researching this name, most going back to the mid-1850's. We know that they most have constituted most of the congregation of the Church in Ballymore. My primary concern is finding a marriage certificate between James Eivers of Collierstown (or the old Irish, Callighstown) to Bridget Nally. Their oldest child was born in 1850 so I would be looking around 1848-------. The Nally's were found mostly in the Tang area. I have checked with the Heritage Centre in Moate without any luck on the marriage. Would Tang be under a different Heritage Centre? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Regards, Lynn Eivers
Hello Maire, I saw your post...am wondering if you have an MULRENINS in your database? I have one that married a Geraghty. Thank you.
