    1. [Irl-Westmeath] Broadway and Cunningham
    2. Hello List I am trying to trace a family of Broadway's from Ireland with no luck at all. Family tales tell of Athlone as the homeland. I have a Patrick Broadway (dob est 1785) settling in Walsall Staffs England prior to the 1851 Census. In 1851 Patrick was living with the following people : - Wife Mary (est dob 1788) Children 1. Matthew Est dob 1828 Married Catherine Fallon (est dob 1831) in Walsall 1855. Died 1894. 2. Thomas Patrick Est dob 1831. Married Bridget Howley in Walsall 1854. Died 1895. 3. Mary est Dob 1833. Married Michael Crosby and died 1858. 4. Margaret (est dob 1826) already married to a William Cunningham from Ireland in 1851 with one child Patrick Cunningham born Ireland est 1845. Margaret died in 1858. There may have been more children that stayed in Ireland unless Mary was Patrick's second wife or had her first child about the age of 40! I have information about this family after this date and decendent until the present day BUT know nothing prior to 1851. Living next door to them in 1851 was the family of Michael Keogh also from Ireland and lodgers at same address as Patrick Michael Hart and John Brady from Ireland. Maybe the families emigrated together. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Karen Broadway (direct decendent from Patrick......HELP)! PS sorry for the long post

    2. Hi, I greatly appreciate your helping me with my Feury family search in Ireland.  My Great, Great, Grandfather Thomas Feury lived and died in Ireland somewhere between 1774 and 1866.  He had two sons, Michael and James. They both migrated to Ontario, Canada around 1840.  My Great Grandfather James Feury was born in Ireland in 1825 and died in Palms, Michigan, USA in 1900.  Should you have and information or leads about them in Ireland, I would greatly appreciate such help.  More, specially, city/town/village they lived in or parish they belong to..  In the case of GGG Thomas Feury, his birth date and death date, as well as who he was married to and marriage date.  Also if you have any information about the history of the Feury's in Ireland, I would also appreciate that too. My e-mail address is [email protected] Thank you for your consideration and have a great day. Russell Feury.

    3. These are the Eivers in the Coghlan Book. I'm only put the head of a family and Wife (not all the information of each family) 1.-Micael Eivers born Ballimahon Longford 1847 Rose Gaynor 1848 Had 4 children 2.-Patrick Eivers Co. Longford 1814 came 1848 Ellen Hogan 1815-1880 Had 6 children (some of them born in Ireland) 3.-Edward Eivers born Ireland 1860 Maria Clark born in Argentina Had 3 children 4.-Denis Eivers born in Pallas More Co. Longford 1857 ( This place is south Longford) + 18-9-1908 Mary E. born in Longofrd 1851 Had children 5.-James Eires born in Ireland in 1819 Elizabeth Ireland 1829 Had 3 children 6.-John Eivers Ireland 1851 Catherine Dillon born in Ireland in 1855 (sister of Marcella Dillon Duffy) Had 5 children 7.-Lawrence Eivers 1851 Anna Dillon (born in Argentina ) 1856 Had 3 children Families 6 and 7 provably brothers and sisters. Check this address for Eivers http://www.google.com I think there is an argetinian family Eivers there. With the death certificate in Argentina of these Eivers you can get parent names, but you need to locate where they were living the name of the town of the Provincia de Buenos Aires (called Partido ) and their dates. For example Eivers 6 were living in Mercedes, Buenos Aires: Eivers 7 in Monte, Pcia. de Buenos Aires Concerning my Nallys they came from Milltown. I know there are a lot of Nallys in its parish registers. I noticed of a Nally family of Glassan. This is near Tang I think I have no connection with this family. This information is from a message I got from the web/ Tubberclaire Church Yard/ Nally's In the cemetary in the church yard in Tubberclaire, which is just outside of Glasson, Co. Westmeath thier is a stone that lists Patrick Nally and Others. If I recall his death was in the 1940's.There are still some Nally's in the village of Glasson bit were not related to my ancestors. Maybe this will help you ?? In loving Memory of Patrick Nally Died 10 May 1948 His sister, Mary Died Nov. 1958 His Brother, John Died 10 Jan. 1959 Teresa Wife of John Died 13 Jan 1980 Their son John Died 15 June 1998 Aged 77 years I hope this help Alberto

    3. Alberto, Do you have any more information on the Nally's. We have James Eivers from Collierstown who married a Bridget Nally around 1848 or so. Their first child was born in 1850. I have been trying to find a marriage license for them but have not had luck in Co. Westmeath. I was told that our Nally's might have been from Tang which is Co Longford. Any connections? P.S. James and Bridget's first son John went to Argentina. John married a Catherine Dillion in Argentina. Her family originally came from Tang as well. We have made contact with one of the the descandants down there and they sent what they knew of John and Catherine's five children. I was going to send to 'cold' letters to other Eivers that I found in Argentina to see if there were any connections but after I write my letter, I have to have it translated. Fortunately, I work with several people that though not from Argentina, are fluent in Spanish. 2. In a message dated 3/9/01 9:01:56 AM Eastern Standard Time, Graeme at [email protected] writes: << Can you or any other list members provide any further info. on Drumcree??? Does the town still exist? If so how large? >> Graeme, Drumcree does indeed still exist. The town is right on the R 395 road connecting Delvin with Castlepollard. It's about 3 miles from Delvin. It doesn't seem to be too populated - perhaps 20 or 25 buildings in the area, but they are concentrated on a short section of the road between three intersections with crossing and abutting roads. There is also a church and a postoffice there but, not knowing the actually borders of the townlands, it's hard to ascribe them all to Drumcree. The townlands of Gormanstown and Loughstown, as well as the townland of Drumcree (different from the "town" of Drumcree) also seem to have a piece of the action on this stretch of road................. and some of the buildings, etc., could actually be located in those townlands. If you want to peek for yourself, and try to decide which is where, take a look at Discovery map 42, around 554 655. Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
