hi Clare, My family lines came to U.S. from Westmeath primarily. Amongst my family are some Flanagan's, though some family members I've interviewed say they were just friends of the family. I, thus, don't know if/how they're related to me yet. They were my great aunt's baptism sponsors at St. Catherine, New York City, NY in 1892 and my grandmother's wedding attendants in 1923 at Church of Our Lady of Esperanza in the city. There names: Cormack and Anne Flanagan, daughters: Lucy(i think) and Gertrude and son James. I don't know if you've a connection, but ... Keep my email address in case you find a connection and in case I find they're related to me. take care brian donlon researching: Donlon, Conlon, Lannon, Pyne, Reilly, Kilduff, McDonald, Howard, Clark, Shiel(d)s [email protected] wrote: > Hi Everyone > > I have been doing genealogy for a while now, and > have had moderate success > with most of my lines. A Claffey tombstone says "born 1812 at Treel near Mout Co. Westmeath". IreAtlas does not list such a townland. Moate seems to be misspelled so perhaps Threel is also. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might find this place?

Charlotte, I also wish to thank you ever so much for the Mulleady (or what ever way we all spell it) info, it may break open may research for my great grandfather's family or cousins. Again, his name was Malichy Mulledy, his mothers name was Mariah (or maybe Moira) Mulledy. They say they came from County Longford. I did notice in the information from Argentina that the name Daniel Mulleady was used twice. My grandfather was named Daniel so I'm hoping this might lead somewhere. You also provided some Lennon's and it was great to see that not only in my immediate family did the Lennon's and Mulledy's get together but also in Argentina. Thank you again for your help.
