RIVERS Will of Mary RIVERS, wife of Bartholomew RIVERS, late of Waterford but now of Ballinakill, dated 27.10.1799:- "I am entitled to a large arrear of interest under the will of Mrs. Mary BLAKE, late of Dublin, under bond executed in 1765 by my said husband and Henry O'BRIEN, late of Dublin, Linen-draper; legacy to House of Industry of poor females now building at Hennessy's Road under the direction of Miss Ellen POWER formerly of Patrick Street; everything else to daughter Kate POWER of Ballinakill. Proved 7.12.1799. (£200 for Masses ?) Mary RIVERS was daughter of Philip and Mary BLAKE of Francis St., Dublin Will of Michael RIVERS of the City of Waterford, no date given,:- £500 to wife Mary; £8 a year out of Browley at his executor's discretion to his brother Thomas of Dungarvan, or his child or children; 1/- to his lying malicious and undutiful daughter Mary TOBIN; £10 each to her three children; £40 a year to his daughter Alice; £20 to his brother Joseph or his child or children at his executor's discretion; £20 to his niece Mary RUSSELL of Dungarvan; £10 to his niece Kate POWER; £10 to the child or children of his deceased sister Kate McDERMOTT of Cork; rent of two houses in Tramore: Tom POWER'S and Maurice WHELAN'S and (?), £20 for the education of poor children in Tramore. Proved by Michael RIVERS of Carrick, son of the deceased and executor, 28.12.1807 Will of Bartholomew of Tramore, >or Waterford< dated 15.11.1806, :- to be buried in the vault of his uncle Bartholomew RIVERS in Dungarvan; debts incurred since June 1793 to be paid in first instance; impeaches the conduct of the trustees to who he then conveyed his property: Robert DOBBYN, Simon NEWPORT, Humphrey MAY, Alexander WALLACE and Robert POWER, "only for their gross neglect for these thirteen years, there was ample to pay all my debts. Henry HAYDEN'S to me and to the bank were considerable. James KEARNEY of Waterford purchased in trust for me, but not discharged and other properties now held for me by Edward LEE. I leave and bequeath all my property to my beloved daughter Kate POWER alias RIVERS, subject to £70 a year for my daughter Ann RIVERS i.e. £40 out of LEE'S property and £30 in lieu of a like annuity bequethed to her by my granddaughter Maria POWER during my life. My clothes to my dear brother Thomas RIVERS of Dungarvan. I desire that my daughter Kate do reserve my dwelling-house in Green's Lane, Tramore, known as Green's House and all land and garden belonging thereto and furniture for her own use and residence. Proved 6.12.1809 Prerogative Will BLAKE Will of Philip BLAKE, Penmaker, of Francis St., Dublin, dated 21.3.1746:- £300 each to youngest son John and daughters Ann and Mary; of the residue, on half to wife and other half to eldest son Thomas when of age. Proved 22.4.1747 Prerogative Will Will of Mary BLAKE, widow of Philip BLAKE, Penmaker, Dublin, dated 18.3.1765,:- legacies to her son-in-law John DILLON and his children; her rings to her daughter Mary wife of Bartholomew RIVERS and £400 to trustees for her sole use; remainder to son John at the age of twenty-seven, if he die property to be divided between John DILLON'S children and Mary RIVER'S.
