Proved by Walter POWER, Ballynaven (?) Grandson Richard POWER mentioned. 9.11.1657 Prerogative. Will of Patrick POWER, sick on board H.M.S. Seahorse at Deal, Kent, dated 12.6.1743:- leaves all pay etc. to his father John POWER and brother Geoffry POWER, Yeomen, Co. Waterford share and share alike. Will of Patrick POWER of Knockaderry, dated 25.6.1737:- "To son Peirse two-thirds of my interest in lands and leases of Bridgetown, Ballyneale, Ballyhosty and Ballyquin and two-thirds of cattle and stock on said lands, the third to my dear wife, first taking 20 cows for my mother-in-law Joan BUTLER alias TOBIN. To my son Edmund, two-thirds of my interest in Carriganure and Coolfin, and two thirds of stock thereon. My wife and son perfect a lease to Ed. POWER of Carriganure of such part of said lands as he holds of me at £42 a year. Nicholas LONERGAN of Carriganure to be forgiven £30. Tom my son David my interest in Carrigphilip and Kirnalish and stock thereon, reserving one-third for my wife. To my sons Thomas and Nichols my interest in Kilballyquilty and stock, less one-third for my wife. To my daughter Catherine £300 and £60 worth of stock. My interest in the lands of Knockaderry for the support of my children for nine years, and then to my son Nicholas, reserving one-third for my wife. To my four sons Peirse, Edmund, David and Thomas my interest in the lands and leases of Teplyvrick ? and Lisnageeragh, Shanakill and Kilmulin. To my son Thomas my interest in leases and stock of Kilmovee, reserving one-third for my wife. To my mother Catherine POWER alias KENNEDY £4 a year for life. To my sister Mary FITZGERALD alias POWER 20 barrels of oats. To my brother Maurice POWER two strippers bought from William POWER, Woodstown. £15 to poor widows of the parishes of Newcastle and Kilmeaden, Peirse POWER of Knockaderry, and my wife Alicia POWER alias BUTLER. Proved by Alicia POWER, wife and executor, 25.4.1737 Will of Maurice POWER of Tyroe, Co. Waterford, dated 2.4.1772:- "To my wife Ellen, Knokacroly and Churchtownhill for life, and in case she dies and the fool survives her, he is to get £10 a year. To my well-beloved son John POWER Lahardan, Tyroe, and Kylenaracy. To my daughter Ellen POWER £300, to my daughter Anastasia £50, my daughter Jenny £30, my daughter Kate £4. My son John to get at his mother's death and to pay the fool £10 a year if he lives (Knocknacroly and Churchtownhill) Proved by widow 1.6.1775. Executors wife and son John Prerogative. Will of Maurice POWER of Tyroe, Co. Waterford, dated 11.3.1774:- 1/- each to his sons John and Michael, all the rest to his daughter Mary POWER.
