    3. The purpose of the Tithe Applotments was to determine the amount of "tithes" occupiers of agricultural property should pay the Church of Ireland. The people listed are going to be rural residents rather than town people. These records were created between 1823-1837. Here are the names from the Tithe Applotments from the Parish of Kilmacleague. The parish of Kilmacleage is in the Barony of Gaultiere. Date: 1826 Land name: Kilmacleague OCCUPIERS NAMES ---------------------------- Corcoran, Edmd. If anyone has a parish or townland and would like to contribute them to the website - please let me know. They are arranged by parish rather than county and as there are about 149 films for the Tithe Applotments in the Family History Center Catalog - it is not something we can just order all the Waterford parishes for. They are scattered throughout. If you have copies but do not have time to transcribe them you can still send or scan them and we will get them transcribed. More Kilmacleague to come...
