This is a dual posting to Tipperary and Waterford lists. Looking for HOGAN of Clonmel. Tipperary or Waterford. We have a transcription of a letter written in 1874 by a cousin, JOHN ROCHE (in Griffiths it is listed as ROACHE), who gave his address as: Croghclooney (Griffiths: CURRAGHCLONEY) Newcastle Clonmel Ireland He mentioned the Catholic church at "Four-Mile-Water" ( which is in Co. Waterford, near the village of Ballymacarbry) The old cemetery of Four-Mile-Water Church is Caoilshigan Cemetery (pronounced: kyle-sha-gone) has some Hogan gravestones from the 1700's & early 1800's. I have a cousin who briefly visited the cemetery but couldn't read all the gravestones. We are looking for the record of Patrick & Johanna Hogan. Does anyone know if there is a transcription of this cemetery? Is anyone familiar with this cemetery? Thanks, Deanna from San Carlos, California
