Seems that the O' may have been mistakenly omitted in recording the last few records. I would think that there must have been a connection with the Prendergast and the O'Donnell families. Other names recorded as God Parents and whitnesses to William and Kate Harris' children are: Maloney, Heffernan, Maria Morrissey, Jacob Morissey, Patrick Morrissey. My husband's grandfather, Patrick Prendergast, s/o William and Kate , (nee Harris), Prendergast, married Catherine Sweeney, from Crow Hill, Cappoquin, just above Mt Melleray Monistery, and they came into the port of South Boston, MA in 1904.
