My earliest Waterford ancestor was David Power, who probably started out in Islandtarsney, near Tramore, around 1790 and later married Anne Dwyer. They were the great grandparents of many, including Peg Power, who died in Waterford City in 1999 after living much of her long life (over 90 years) in Islandtarsney and Tramore. My wife and I visited Peg twice before she died. She once had a gift shop at the Cozy Corner, the Cove, in Tramore but was also involved in race tracks in the Tramore area.
