Edward Foran is shown in Grifffiths Valuations (1851) in Carriglea, Whitechurch CP (O.S. 30, Ref 2) occupying House, Offices and Land amounting to 28 + acres. In the first Revision book (page not dated), that property was occupied by Nicholas Shanahan. He died in 1872 at age 94. The property was then passed down to several Shanahans until about 1960. We have no idea where the Shanahans lived prior to this revised land valuation during the 1850s, or whether they were related to Edward Foran. Any information or suggestions sincerely appreciated.
