Re: Henry Purdon, MD ----- you might want to check with the Royal concerning descendants or cousins. I am sure they must be in the North still. Did you check the Phone Directorly for Northern Ireland. Last known is Dorothy Purdon of Belfast (my Granny born around 1900?) who married George Godwin, her sisters were Helen and Isabel. Granny's father was Dr. Henry S. Purdon 1843 to 1906 who had a dispensary in Academy Street in Belfast for the treatment of skin diseases, subsequently run by his son Elias B. Purdon on Henry's death. A ward at the Royal Victorian Hospital was dedicated to Dr. Henry Purdon in 1957. Most male Purdons have been doctors stretching back for many generations. Anyone who knows of any descendants or is one themselves, please do get in touch. Many thanks. > > > ==== IRL-ULSTER Mailing List ==== > Official Ulster Home Page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~irluie2/ > Official Ireland Genealogy Projects(IGP)homepage, formerly IrelandGenWeb(IGW): http://irelandgenealogyprojects.rootsweb.com/ > The Official Ulster page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~irluls/ > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >
