I'm looking for the birthplace of Roger Williamson, born about 1796 probably in Ulster. He died in 1877 at the Drogheda Workhouse. One death record has him listed as 75 years while a more official record says he died at 80 years of age. He's buried at St. Mary's Church of Ireland in Drogheda. If you can help me to locate his birth place and birth date it would be greatly appreciated. Hey James, I was born at St Luke's Hospital in Newburgh in 1934 and lived in Nwbgh until 1949. Remnants of my family lived there until 1993. Can't help you much re: Drogheda (although I've been through there on the train) or any Williamson's there, either. My Antrim connection is from Archibald Wiseman, born 1812-13 in Ballywatermoy Townland, near Cullybackey. He came to Newburgh in 1835 or 6 to be with his brother James, and both are 'buried' in Old Town Cemetery at South and Grand in a plainly marked family plot.
