    3. My great grandfather John James MILLER, he was born in Sixmilecross, Omagh Co. Tyrone in 1869.Father was Robert MILLER and his mother Mary McCUTCHEON. He married Eliza Jane JEFFREY in 1898. His address at the time of his marriage was Victoria Barracks. He was a private soldier. They had a daughter Matilda, born in Bombay, India abt 1905,1906. I am trying to find out what regiment he may have been with, and when he/they went to India. They eventually came to New Zealand, but I am not having any luck tracing their arrival here either. Hopefully some enlightened soul can steer me in the right direction please. Chris in Auckland, New Zealand

    2. Hello Chris, this may or may not be of any help but here goes. My Grandfather Patrick Beattie, born in Belfast, served in India as well as the Boer and Great War. His regiment was the ROYAL INNISKILLING FUSILIERS. I have his army records and know for a fact he served in India as well as Africa and Europe. Also my Grandfather joined up in Omagh Co Tyrone. Perhaps your great grandfather did as well; that town would have been close to his home. Good luck Kate ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Cooper" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, November 01, 2002 1:29 AM Subject: [ULSTER LIST] John James MILLER, Victoria Barracks, Belfast > My great grandfather John James MILLER, he was born in Sixmilecross, > Omagh Co.
