My wife's grandmother was a McDowell b. abt. 1862. She died July 10, 1905. Elizabeth McDowell was married to James Major. They lived in Bangor, Cty Down. There seems to be many McDowells in the Bangor area but we have been unable to trace her family roots. Does any of this register with your McDowell info.?
