I was in touch with another branch of the family in another part of the country, and he is also of the opinion that we have the correct family. Hugh and Agnes's son John came to Australia in 1858, and married a woman by the name of Janet Alexander who was born in Aberdeen scotland. They married in 1863. Her father was John Alexander a shoemaker. and her mothers, name was |Jane Leslie. They had nine children. married in Queensland nad lived in and died in Melbourne. a son and daughter from the Montgomery's married into the Delaney family. There is a long story about how we became Delaney,s but that is another day. The family spread over the Eastern Etates of Australia.
