Thomas McGlinn, son of Michael McGlinn and Mary Cunningham, was convicted in Cavan, County Cavan on 3rd march 1850. Baron Pennyfather was the presiding judge. The local newspaper, the Anglo Celt Gazette, has no report of the conviction however as an English doctor was on trial that day and the report of that trial filled the court news. Thomas was sentenced to seven years transportation and I have traced his family in Western Australia. Does anyone have any information relating to him or his parents' family in Ireland?
