I need to take a 'shot in the dark' with MARTIN researchers in Ulster, IRE to see if I can FINALLY "connect" my 3x GreatGrandfather to his predecessors. My Father (a MARTIN) took the Family Tree DNA test; and we have a genetic connection to MARTIN's in Ulster, IRE (somehow!!!) The earliest documented proof i have on my MARTIN line is as follows: ABRAHAM MARTIN born Sept. 1797 (said to be SC); died July, 1852 Wayne Co, IL. Married MARY JANE ("POLLY") HEADY (most probably 1823/24; place unknown). 10 children: 1) JEPTHA MARTIN born 1825 2) EMILY MARTIN born 1828 3) PRUDENCE JANE MARTIN born 1829 4) JAMES C. MARTIN born 1831 5) GEORGE MARTIN born 1835 6) ELEY AZER MARTIN born 1838 7) ABRAHAM H. MARTIN born 1840 8) MARY MARTIN (twin) born 1842 9) MANERVA VIRGINIA MARTIN (twin) born 1842 10) MARGARET (or MARTHA?) MARTIN born 1845 I have no other info/clues/ideas on how to connect my ABRAHAM MARTIN with his relstives in Ulster, IRE....................other than that there was a ROBERT MARTIN living "next door" in White Co, IL in 1827 who married a NANCY HEADY. (Could they have been brothers/cousins?? CAN NOT CONNECT THEM!!!) ANY clues/ideas/info would be SOOOO appreciated!!! been searching for 10 years now..........
