I just purchased a Guild membership to the Ulster Historical Foundation. Sadly the databases do not help me much after all. If anyone is looking for a relative from Northern Ireland I would be glad to do a quick search. Their databases can be viewed at www.ancestryireland.com regards, Eireann
Eireann My great grandparents Edward McNally and Rose Donnelly came from County Armagh ca 1870. They were Catholic. Would appreciate any thing that you can find. Also had a grgrgrandfather born in 1797 in Derry. Not sure if the town or county. His name was Pheolix ( Felix) Henry. Any info appreciated. Hello Eireann, My great grandparents were Thomas John Shannon who married Mary Blake. Both families were from Cty.Cavan. My grandfather, John Shannon, Cty Cavan married Catherine Keogh Cty.Wicklow in Sydney in 1867 at St.Mary,s Cathedral. Sy This John Shannon and his brother Robert are the only children of Thomas and Mary which I could find. John was born in Cty.Cavan about 1835 and Robert in Cty Cavan in 1852. He married Kate McGovern, also from Cty.Cavan in Sydney 1882. I have not been able to go back in Ireland re the Shannon family and any help you can give me would be most appreciated. Shirley Parker (whose mother was last daughter of John Shannon and Catherine Keogh.)
