His daughter, Eliza Thompson OFFICER, died in 1908 in Rhode Island. Her daughter wrote for her death notice that Eliza was "...born in 1815 in the north of Ireland, of Scottish descent, the daughter of Beers and Mary Thompson." Eliza seems to have been the third (and last) child of Beers & Mary. She married in Quebec c. 1836. No trace of them so far in Quebec so I don't know when they emigrated, where they landed in Canada, nor from where they originated "in the north of Ireland". Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might seek Beers Thompson "in the north"? No tradition has been passed down about him (nor Mary - who was a Stewart/Stuart). TIA. Jack Bowker
