    3. Hello listers, I am trying to locate more information on two of my Antrim Co. families. I need to acquire marriage, baptismal and burial records from Ballysillan (Presbyterian) in Belfast and Lisburn Christchurch (COI). I contacted these churches and was told that all records are currently held by PRONI. I searched the PRONI website and located the churches and the reference numbers for each....my only problem is that since I live in the United States and I am unable to go and view the records personally. Honestly, I have no idea what format these records are in and what if anything I would find in them. Does anyone know how I might get the information I am looking for? Eireann

    3. Burial records unlikely as most of our churches are very bad at keeping burial records. Marriage recores and baptismal records will be available for the dates which PRONI mention. The records are usually microfiche copies of the original register which means that they are in the order in which they happened without index etc. it would therefore be necessary to sit down and go through them page by page unless you know the years/months that you are looking for Ella Ella Patterson Cataloguer Cataloguing Department Main Library Resources Management Division The Queen's University of Belfast University Square Belfast BT7 1LS Northern Ireland Tele: +44 28 90973639 Email: e.patterson@qub.ac.uk -----Original Message----- From: irl-ulster-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-ulster-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Ulster3 Sent: 28 February 2007 04:21 To: IRL-ULSTER@rootsweb.com Subject: [IRL-ULSTER] PRONI research Hello listers, I am trying to locate more information on two of my Antrim Co. families.
