I'd like to get in contact with anyone who has Morgans' in Ulster Province and County Cavan on Monagham. Also Armstrong in Monaghan. All I know about my family in Ireland is the following: 1) William Morgan and his wife Letita Armstrong left Ireland and settled in Renfrewshire, Scotland about 1842-1844 from Cootehill, County Cavan, Ireland. 2) William Morgan's parents were John Morgan and Elizabeth Dougherty. William was born about 1811 (I assume in County Cavan). 3) William Morgan married Letitia Armstrong about 1831. She was born in County Monaghan to Thomas Armstrong and Maria Stoops. 4) They were not Catholics but don't know what church they belonged to. I know that William's son (my great grandfather) was a very actice Orangeman. I have been through all of the Tithe and Griffiths and have a few ideas but I can't document anything.
