I'm looking for information about Raymond Philip McNeny. He was born in New York in 1896. His social security app states he was born in New York, as were his parents. I can't find anything about them. I've found some information that links the 'Neny name to counties in Ulster as well as County Monaghan. Is it possible his parents weren't born in New York? At that time, would there have been a reason for immigrants to state New York, if they were born outside the country? Was that even possible? It's just a guess. Yes, I'm getting desperate! Anyway Raymond moved to Texas and married Stella Jonah and they had my grandmother Lillie (Kephart). If any of this looks familiar, let me know. Thanks and good luck to everyone in their search!
