Hi, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I googled and was swamped with all the hits. I have gone through a lot of them and found all sorts of names bar the one I'm looking for. I am looking for Langmuir/Longmuir/ Longmore/Longmire etc. I am told we came from the Scottish borders and some were granted land in Ireland and some went to the Black Country. There is an area called Longmore and I thought that was the land in question. But, back to the drawing board. Thanks again Talk to you soon, Bill
