    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: DAWARK Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.ulster/402.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: If Stephen Wark is from County Donegal then you can bet that we are related - along with other Warks that have been researching the Wark genealogy with me. I have posted a message on this message board about a DNA project that I am undertaking with several other Warks from around the country and we have had great success in matching 25 markers, which means there is a 90% chance that we share a common ancestor wihtin the last 5 generations. We are actively soliciting other Wark family members to participate because eventually by doing so we might develop the possible links between all of us. Most all our ancestors came from the Ballyshannon area of County Donegal, Ireland. The test is done through FamilyTreeDNA, the leader in this field, working with the Arizona University and the individual working our name's group is Leah Wark. And best of all - the test is easy to complete with a couple swabs, the University maintains the secrecy of the DNA and the fee is very cheap. ! I urge all of you to contact her at leahw@familytreedna.com. And if you have verifiable Wark ancestors still living in the old country try to get their participation bevcause it might help all of us jump back across the big pond. Please join us:) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
