I have very little information to offer, but am posting in hopes that someone may have knowledge of he and his family. I have read that many of the Greggs were of Scotch-Irish descent and lived in Ulster, County Antrim. Unfortunately, I have no DOB, place of birth, date or port of departure/entry to US. We only have my GGG-grandmother's statement that he was born in Ireland.(per Family Bible) His history with my family begins with the birth of his son, James, Jr DOB: 11-13-1790,DOD: 10-02-1827; married to Catherine Holm; He was married to Elizabeth (?)surname unknown DOD:12-2-1821, who was born in Pennsylvania. They had 3 other children: Mary "Polly" Gregg (my GGG-grandmother DOB: 1-1-1803, married to Bannister Pool), Samuel, and John. All born in Pennsylvania. We have his immediate family information, but nothing of his parents or siblings. If anyone has run across this James Gregg line or has any suggestions on places to begin searching, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.
