    3. Hi, I'm new to this, and wondering if anyone can make any suggestions. My ancestor, John CRAIG, was a Scottish farmer in County Donegal (probably near Raphoe) circa 1775. The only other thing I know for sure about him is that he sent his son to Trinity College in 1795. Realizing it might be a lost cause, I'm nevertheless trying to find out more about him. I've done a little reading and know that there were several waves of immigrants to Ulster province from (southwest?) Scotland between about 1604 and 1715. One of the many things I don't know yet is if there are any surviving records of these immigrants in Scotland. I have a friend who is going to Edinburgh next week, and has offered to do lookups, but I have no idea of what to ask for. Can anyone help, please? Thanks in advance for any ideas.
