Ella, perhaps you can help me with a question concerning Belfast history: There is a family legend in the Law family in America that David William Law , his wife and four sons , William, Thomas, Frank and John were forced to flee Belfast in 1794 because of persecution by the Catholics. Was there persecution of Protestants BY Catholics in Belfast at that time? I always thought it was the other way round. Where can I find info on Belfast history for that period?
