    3. Richard, Do you have any info on your gr grandfather. Francis William Dickens? My 3rd gr grandmother was a Dickens from Derbyshire. Any connection that you know of? Sorry that I can't help with the Brandon's. This I obtained from her death entry in the Dean Parish Register Bedfordshire she was 39years at death in November 1918.I have checked the GRO index between 1875 and 1883 and the national 1881 census. But could not find a matching entry. > > She married Fredrick William Dickins c1901 they had six children > > Florence 1902 > Thomas Henry 1904 > Arthur William 1906 > Ellen Maud 1909 > Elsie May 1913 > Mary Elizabeth 1916 > > It is the apparent lack of information on her birth in England that has lead me to consider that she may have been born in Ireland. There are many BRANDON's in Ireland. I am therefore hoping that some one will have information on the BRANDON family who may have left Ireland in the late 19th century and went to Bedfordshire England. > > Any information would be very welcome > > Regards > > Richard. > > ==== IRL-ULSTER Mailing List ==== > Ulster Home Page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~irluie2/ > > ============================== > Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: > Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. > http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com

    3. Hello Ann Thank you for your message. My research on DICKINS has so far resulted in finds only in Bedfordshire ie Dean and Keysoe which are villages within a few miles of each other. My 4x Gt Grandfather was Samuel Dickens. There are more DICKINS families in Risely which is again close to Keysoe and Dean. I have not found any connections to Derbyshire yet. If I happen upon a connection, I will let you know. Best Wishes Richard. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ann Atherton <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 05, 2001 11:23 PM Subject: Re: [ULSTER] BRANDON > Richard, > Do you have any info on your gr grandfather.
