Seeking information on my great grandfather Michael Maguire / McGuire County Fermanagh. I don't know what Town or Parish that he lived in all that I do know is that he had a son John Maguire/ McGuire born : 1828 in County Fermanagh Ireland who is my grandfather and that John Maguire/McGuire emigrated to upper Canada in 1845 which is now the province of Ontario to a place called Mitchell. John Maguire/McGuire married Rose Anne O'Keefe on May 24, 1857 at St. Joseph's parish Stratford Ontario. John and Rose Maguire/ McGuire had four children born at Mitchell Ontario. Michael Henry McGuire Born : April 17. 1858, Francis John McGuire born : 1860 Charles Thomas McGuire born :1862 , Mary Ann McGuire born : 1864. On April 17 . Rose Anne McGuire died from child birth complications. In 1865 John McGuire and his young family emigrated to Grand Rapids Michigan USA. John McGuire married for a second time on May 01, 1866 to My grandmother Bridget McDonald born 1840 in Ireland. From this marriage came four sons James McGuire 1867 Daniel McGuire 1868 Edward McGuire 1971 Joseph Henry McGuire 1874 all were born at Grand Rapids Michigan. In 1889 the John McGuire family moved west to homestead at Manvel North Dakota. In 1905 John McGuire and his family emigrated back to Canada where his sons filed on homesteads at Paynton Saskatchewan. The McGuire family lived out the remainder of their lives at Paynton Saskatchewan Canada. I would be most grateful to hear from anyone knowing anything about this McGuire family or anyone who has done Maguire/McGuire genealogy and could shed some light on my search.
