Allison, My Hawthorne family is from Co. Antrim and Down. Alot of the records I have say Banbridge, Ravernet, Lisburn, Blaris. I am still working on finding out more about my ggg.grandfather James Hawthorne born around 1840? Email me if you want to compare families....I have a tree set up on Ancestry. Vicki, I have no Hawthornes in Omaha, NE (that I know of) but my mother was born there and her grandfather owned a small store somewhere in town. Linda, I was not aware that the records are available through LDS. I have never been to my center but have been meaning to go. How would I go about looking at the records? Carol, The subscription has alot of misc. information. Nothing too concrete to work off of. I checked the wills index and found alot of johnstons but no william. Let me know if I can check anything else in the future. My subscription to Emerald Ancestors just expired. You can search there for free but have to pay for records. You may find a match. I think they are most likely related as I have found multiple land title transfers amongst a number of them in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The census records show the same people with the names spelled with an A one year , a C the following census. It would be quite a coincidence if they all came from Fermanagh, moved to Ontario, then North Dakota, Then within 100 miles of each other in Saskatchewan.
