He probably passed away between 1895 and 1900. There are just too many people who dhare this name, myself included. I also have another Wilson line in my ancestry, but in Paisley, Scotland. a lady who married a John McNeal there in the mid-1830's, and who was my maternal grandmother's grandmother. My mother, a McChesney was born and raised in this area. There are still many in the southern tier. Supposedly our McChesney line came from County Monaghan in Ireland. According to my Mother and Aunt these McChesney's originally started in Scotland. This too I am researching. Good luck and I'll let you know if I ever chip some more of that wall away. John may or may not have been born in Ireland but Pa. is more likely. Trying to sort myth from reality. The names Donegal and Londonderry pop up but then there place names in Pa. that are the same.
