    1. [ULSTER] Thomas/Sarah Christie & family
    2. j.e. higginson
    3. Hello Listers, Should any of you have information on the Christie family, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thomas Christie and his wife Sarah Nugent were parents to three boys and two girls. Sarah was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland probably around 1902. It's not known at this time where or when Thomas was born. Thomas and Sarah were last known to be associated with May Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. They were caretakers and lived next to the church. The years that they were there was probably in the 1940 to 1955 era. Thank you for whatever you can provide. Joan. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.

    1. [ULSTER] ~Jane Gordon ~ John Gordon McComb~
    2. Hello listers I am searching for any McComb~Gordon information. Anytime from Scotland 1600s, all the way through a John Gordon McComb, wife Jane Gordon em. to US in 1755 (This John Gordon McComb is my "7th grandfathers cousin"). We ventured from Scotland off into Antrim Ireland somewhere between the years 1619 and 1710 (the life span of my 10th grandfather, 91 years old ), most likely 1680. They lived at Dunturkey, Ballymere, Parish of Ballymere Co. Antrim, 12 miles N. of Belfast on a farm rented from town. His son (my 9th grandfather) was a Linen draper also born in Scotland. My line was on U.S. land by 1732.(this is before there was a U.S. president) We came in through Delaware Maryland, had a brief stay in N.Y. then branched around to Cumberland Co. Pa, Derry Pa, Middle Spring Pa, and Lancaster Co., also whats known now as Jefferson County, NY. and some other areas. There were 7 brothers plus their father (my 8th grandfather) that came initially. History has confirmed 4 of them in America, my line included. Some McComb changed the spelling to Macomb, and later McComb(s) in some cases. Some went to Chicago and Canada, and some other areas. John Gordon McComb,b.1717 d. after 1796,m.Jane Gordon, children:Alexander,William,Anne, em.abt 1755.Settled in Albany N.Y. Jane Gordon is second cousin to Gen. James Gordon. His family originaly from Scotland, he is the son of Alexander Gordon m.Martha----------. Gen.James Gordon m. Mary Ball in Ballston NY.His sister (another Jane Gordon) married a George Scott the 4th. George Scotts family em. from Dumfries Scottland to Drumenagh, Co. Londonderry Ireland early 16th century.
