I'm trying to find any information about a migration of Ulster Presbyterians that would have occurred somewhere between 1800 & 1840. My gg grandfather came with them, but I cannot find anything on him. Word has it that he migrated from Georgia to Pennsylvania; but from what I can tell, there were no ships directly to Georgia. It also appears that the Ulster's were known to have traveled from PA to several states along the east coast, including GA. All I have on him is two censuses in PA (1850 & 1860, poss 1840). Prior to this date, I know nothing about him or family, except that a brother went to Australia for a possible murder. This info was provided by family, and may be off somewhat. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Sharon

I've been able to trace back to Henrie Embrie who is the ancestor of the Kentucky Embrys. he sailed on the "America" from Gravesend, England to Virginia in 1635. Much controversy but I believe he was a French Hugenot who fled from religious persecution. There is much information on the Embry forum. Genforumgenealogy.com. PS- I have a daughter whose name is Margaux. :)

I assume her parents were born and bred in Belfast also. I think the Robert and Jane you mentioned in your post are likely the Robert and Jane (her parents)that i'm looking for. What is the LDS you speak of? Is there any way you can privately e-mail me that info? I'd really appreciate that. Are these Barclays on your family tree? Maybe you are distantly related to my husband!
