Hi all, my ancestor Michael DARCEY (born around 1845) was from Borrisokane. His parents were John DARCEY and Katherine HOGAN. Michael emigrated to Australia (Queensland) in the 1860s. not sure which parish he might be from but he was roman catholic, cheers, Karen, -----Original Message----- From: irl-tipperary-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-tipperary-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of irl-tipperary-request@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, 10 January 2012 6:01 PM To: irl-tipperary@rootsweb.com Subject: IRL-TIPPERARY Digest, Vol 7, Issue 4 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DELETE all extra text in the Digest Today's Topics: 1. I have never been able to find any information on the life of Denis before he arrived in Australia, or who his parents were. If you have a "lost" Denis Hogan in your researches, I would love to hear from you. Elizabeth Walker (nee Hogan), Lake Macquarie, Australia (where its hot and sunny at this time of the year?) Karen The Rootsireland.ie site for North Tipperary Centre - shows a baptismal record for a Michael Darcy in Borrisokane RC parish in 1847 Father's surname Darcy Mother's name Hogan but when I put in the parents personal names I did not get a match so it may not be the right Michael Darcy.
