I have added the 3rd quarter (Jul-Sep) of 1855 of the Petty Court Sessions to the Tipperary section of my website. These are great for finding the townland and civil parish where you ancestor lived. The records show townland/civil parish of each complainant and defendant. The charges can be pressed by both police and/or private citizens. Charges can be for letting dogs run unleashed, stealing turnips to owing money. Like our courts here in the US where dates are constantly continued, they were also continued month after month in the petty sessions also. I am currently working on the 4th quarter and that will give me the full year of 1855. Hope to get it completed by Summer. I do it when I don't have any tithes or family research films. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
