In recent weeks I've found out that my great great grandfather, who immigrated to America, had a brother who immigrated to Australia around 1891. Patrick Francis Lonergan lived in Carrick-on-Suir and was a member of the RIC before immigrating. Are there online immigration records for Australia? Thanks, Mary

Mary, Ancestry.com has some records for immigration to Australia. I found the following transcription. It was the only one I could find for Patrick. There isn't an image of the ship's manifest available...just this transcription. I don't know if it's your Patrick or not. The date of arrival is off by 9 years. Some entries only use an initial instead of the first name. What was his approximate date of birth?
