Hi everyone. Please, can anyone help with this placename? I can't find Kilpeak on Google or Google maps. I have Walter Hogan, baptised in RC parish Cashel, 29.6.1827, son of Edmund Hogan & Judith Wall, address Kilpeak. I also found a Tithe Applotment record, 1827 for Edmund Hogan, Kilpeak, Erry. Found Erry on the map, but is Kilpeak just too small - or has it disappeared entirely...? Also, this family is recorded as living at Stephenstown on baptismal records 1829-1846; emigrated to Canada 1847. Trying to pinpoint an exact place of dwelling, a farm, etc. for relatives planning to visit Tipp in Sept. Any help most appreciated! Karen.
Hi, I looked on the ordnance survey map of Ireland and could not find it but WNW of Erry there is a place called Peake. "Kil" represents church so I would suggest it might be a site for a very old church or it might be a name for a farm or large property. Slán, Kevin.
