Alice There is a book called The Kingdom of the Ryans - The Irish in Southwest NSW 1816-1890 which mentions John Nagle Ryan - Could this be Mary's Father? The author of the book is Malcolm Campbell and it is the story of Edward Ryan who was transported to NSW in December, 1816 convicted of involvement with Whiteboys in Tipperary. He was father of John Nagle Ryan who was born in Tipperary and arrived in Australia in 1848. This book may be useful to you if Mary was part of this Ryan family.
