    3. Hi Pat, What I have on the Cooney's and Strapps came from Brian Bensted, a cousin of my husband, here in Australia. He has a bit of info on the origins of the Strapp family on his website which you can access at http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/7661/CHsix.html You could try contacting Brian to see if he has come across any of your Strapp relations in his research as it apparently wasn't a very common name. You may find a link to our Strapp family. (Let me know if you do, though, won't you). Cheers, Andrea. -----Original Message----- From: Pat Gleason [mailto:pmgleason@stny.rr.com] Sent: Monday, 15 May 2006 4:41 AM To: IRL-TIPPERARY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [TIP] Cooney & Strap in Tipperary I also have a Strap(pe) family connection from Tipperary. My gr-gr-grandmother Mary Strappe was born in Tipperary in June 1840 (most likely in Fethard). Her father was Patrick Strappe. Mary married James KEYES. She died in New York City in 1913. I would love to be able to learn more about this family also.
